Blogger Theme Improvements

I have to admit, I'm impressed with the new blogger templates. These are Contempo, Soho, Emporio, and Notable. As observed, they are now following today's web standards which is using responsive layout. Back then if you would use the old blogger themes, you would be redirected to a mobile site instead, a standard approach to improve website performance back then. But since it is 2017 and most online surfers are using either high solution computers or smartphones, I think it's more applicable to use responsive themes.

A problem with these new themes is that some of the gadgets you put in the layout might not work except for the basic built in ones such as profile, Google adsense, archive, etc. Best way as of now to manage the gadgets is via customize theme. But if you still miss the old layout you can always use the classic themes as they are still there in the theme selection

As of now I am using the Contempo theme as it is simply a one-column blog. Other themes are still great though and I might also consider using these as well.

Hey buddy, It's been a while since I made my last post. I've been a little busy the past days.. Or should I say video games ate a lot of my time. Anyway I'm still reading books or should I say listening to audiobooks. I'm getting hooked up in stories of Lovecraft and all those Cthulhu mysteries. Oh well, they're a bit fun to read. Or perhaps I can't use wordpress the way I want it like attaching media files, other stuffs and so on. So I though maybe I should build my own website instead though it would be a little challenging. But hey, Imma programmer.. At least this would give me a motivation to study about frameworks.

Anything but Recaptcha

Whenever I fill up some forms, I am just one of those who easily get annoyed from Google ReCaptcha. I guess a lot of people also get annoyed from this. Before you can submit, you should be able to identify the two words indicated. Things get worse if you press enter and still you made a wrong guess. Sometimes the text also get a little cryptic like when other symbols (like Greek words or words you don't find in the dictionary appear). It used to be Captcha, guessing only one word until spambots seem to have outsmarted captchas to that's where ReCaptcha was made But despite that I don't like it, I still manage to use it since it helped me block some spam users from signing up and sending comments to my website  with the help of akismet anti-spam plugin. But anyway that's a little guessing game to ensure your safety as well. And I guess it would be annoying if something else should be guessed. Now I'm just kidding about the complex math problem, alt...
